Welcome, I am so glad you are here
About me
I grew up in a working-class family in the north of England and emigrated to Australia around seven years ago. Through both personal experience and the privilege of supporting many individuals and relationships, I’ve come to resonate deeply with the complex and often contradictory emotional landscapes we inhabit. The weight of overwhelm, the absence of feeling, the sense of being trapped, the quiet persistence of frustration, and the confusion that clouds clarity — all these emotions can surface, sometimes simultaneously. I’ve witnessed the urge to appease others, the undercurrent of fear, and the paradox of longing for emotional closeness while finding vulnerability both difficult and, at times, overwhelming.
I have devoted many years to supporting a diverse range of individuals and couples, engaging in extensive training and personal inquiry to deepen my capacity to hold space with care and presence during life’s most challenging moments. This commitment is reflected in both my academic and professional journey: I hold a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and an MA in Psychotherapy and Counselling, alongside a range of additional specialist trainings outlined below. This work is not only my profession, but a long-standing passion. I hold a deep belief in the potential for healing, peace, and reconnection — both within ourselves and in our relationships. I’ve had the privilege of witnessing profound transformation in the lives of many of those I’ve worked with, and it is this possibility that I hope to offer to you.
Outside of work I have many passions which include hiking, wellness, being in nature, eating good food and travelling. I have travelled to forty-seven different countries in the world and am now excited to live a more settled and stable life in Australia.
Since 2017, I have provided trauma- and attachment-informed care across various organizations within the NGO sector. My work has involved supporting a diverse range of clients in different settings, including those affected by childhood trauma, relationship challenges, sexual trauma, complex trauma, war trauma, neurodivergence, substance use, and various mental health challenges. I am now focusing primarily on working with individuals, and relationships, where there has been experiences of childhood trauma. I can also offer individual and relationship therapy to people with other experiences, please contact me and we can discuss whether I can support you.
When you feel ready, I offer a compassionate and grounded space for you to explore your inner world or the inner world of your relationship. My approach is integrative, drawing on Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and other evidence-based modalities, tailored to meet your unique needs. At the heart of these approaches lies a shared principle, that you will not be judged. Your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours are understood as adaptive responses — ways your system has tried to protect you from further harm. When your inner world begins to feel safe enough, I can provide the opportunity for the pain that lies beneath to be gently explored and processed, opening the way for healing, clarity, and connection.
